Move a domain you already own.
Transferring is not the same as buying twice. You pay one year, and that year is added to the time already left on the name — so you rarely lose anything by moving.
Prices exclude GST · Nothing is charged until the transfer completes
Four steps, then about five days.
Most of the wait is a registry rule, not us. Your site stays live for all of it.
Unlock the domain
At your current registrar, switch off the transfer lock. Turn off WHOIS privacy for a moment too, or the confirmation email cannot reach you.
Get the auth code
Sometimes called an EPP or authorisation code. Your registrar gives it to you, usually instantly in their panel.
Start it here
Enter the domain and the code in your client area. We show the price before you commit, and nothing is charged until it completes.
Approve the email
The registry emails the registrant address. Approve it and the transfer finishes in about five days.
What a transfer costs.
The same as a renewal, and it adds a year. The third column is what you would pay to renew where you are now — usually the more useful comparison.

Transfers are charged at the renewal price, not the first-year price. A discounted first year is for new registrations only, at every registrar. We print the real figure here rather than advertising a number you could not actually get.
When a transfer will not work.
All registry rules rather than ours. Better to know now than after you have paid.
Registered in the last 60 days
A newly registered name cannot move for 60 days. Point its nameservers at us instead and transfer later — hosting works fine without the transfer.
Transferred in the last 60 days
The same rule applies after any transfer, including one between two other registrars.
Still locked, or privacy still on
The lock must be off and the registrant email reachable. If privacy is hiding that address, the approval email never arrives.
Expired or in redemption
A name past its expiry has to be renewed where it is before it can move. Renew first, then transfer.
What you get once it is here.
Full DNS control
Every record editable from the cPanel zone editor. No ticket, no waiting, no charge for "advanced DNS".
Free WHOIS privacy
Where the registry permits it. Several Indian extensions do not allow privacy at all, and we say which.
Auto-renew you control
On by default so a name does not lapse by accident, and switchable off yourself at any time.
Mail pointed anywhere
Use our mailboxes or send MX to Zoho or Google Workspace. Tell us which and we set the records up free.
One login for everything
Domain, hosting and invoices in the same client area, rather than three accounts to keep track of.
Free to leave again
We give you the auth code on request. A domain you own is yours, and we do not make leaving difficult.
Transfer questions.
Will my website go down during the transfer?
No. A transfer moves who manages the registration, not where the site is hosted. Your DNS records travel with it and your site and email keep serving throughout.
Do I lose the time left on my domain?
No — a transfer adds a year to your current expiry date. If you had eight months left, you will have twenty after it completes.
How much does a transfer cost?
The renewal price for that extension: ₹899 for .in, ₹1,499 for .com, and the full table is above. Nothing is charged until the transfer completes.
How long does it take?
About five days once you approve the confirmation email. That wait is a registry rule, not our processing time, and no registrar can shorten it.
Where do I find my authorisation code?
In your current registrar’s control panel, usually under the domain’s settings. It may be called an EPP code, auth code or transfer key. If you cannot find it, ask them — they are obliged to give it to you.
Can I transfer a domain registered last week?
No. Registry rules block a transfer for 60 days after registration, everywhere. Point the nameservers at us in the meantime; hosting works perfectly without the transfer.
Can I transfer more than one domain at once?
Yes. Add them all in the client area and approve each confirmation email. Tell us on chat if there are many and we will help you work through them.
What if the transfer fails?
Nothing is charged. The usual causes are a lock still on, a wrong auth code, or the approval email going to a privacy-protected address. We will tell you which and you can start again.
Do I have to host with SitePex to transfer a domain here?
No. You can keep the domain with us and host anywhere, and we will not badger you about it.
Bring your domain across.
One price, a year added, and nothing charged until it completes.
